Student Visa for Canada



     Canada Student visa is usually required for courses of duration more than 6 months. There are more than 85 universities in Canada which provide high level of education to students coming from around the world. The Canadian government spends 9.5 % of their GDP in the education system.

Documents required for applying Student Visa

1)  Study Permit Application form.

2)  A passport valid for minimum of 1 Year from the time of entry into Canada.

3)  Photocopy of Academic Mark sheets and Certificates.

4)  TOEFL/IELTS scores if applicable.

5)  A letter of acceptance from the School/College/University

6) Student may have to submit a proof of payment of fees,depending upon the  requirements.

7)  Establish to Government of Canada that you will return home at the end of your studies.

8) Student may have to pass a medical exam if required; and qualify as a temporary  resident in     Canada, including a temporary resident visa if required.

9) A proof may be required that you have sufficient funds to pay school fees, living  expenses to     study in Canada

10) Letter from the sponsor (If applicable).

11) Income Tax Papers of the sponsor (If applicable)

12) Visa Fee of CAD$125 in the form of a Bank Draft.

A Study Permit is not required in the following circumstances

1)  For a course or program with a duration of six months or less.

2)  For a minor child already in Canada, whose parents have legal.

3)  For status in Canada, other than Visitor Status.

4)  For the family or staff of a foreign representative to Canada.

Medical Examination

For Medical Examination, The Canadian High Commission - New Delhi will issue instructions, which the student has to follow. The Medical Test will be conducted by a Doctor from their Panel.
